Jay-Z, The Dynasty Roc La Familia Full Album Zip
so what happened? were they willing to forget it? were they willing to just let the matter rest? were they willing to let jay-z back into the fold? were they willing to let him back into the fold? and most of all: what happened to the stabbing? did he even really get stabbed?
i can tell you how i think they felt about jay-z. i have sources who told me that, while im talking, they were trying to figure out how to swallow their pride. i can tell you how they felt about jay-z. but i can only speculate about what they were willing to say.
and then there are those songs with which jay is wont to amaze, and stun, and inspire. the tone was set with the wah-wah piano and clavichord of shine, a classic-yet-never-been-mastered track that was co-produced by kanye west and bink! the song ends with a certain type of jay-z characteristically quoting the crowd, but this time it was different: ima go to jail like a millionaire, be like frank white/ then have a kid, maybe make some more music. he wasnt just pulling a zinger, but he was scaring the shit out of you. he knew what he was doing. the dynasty was a catalogue-perfect record. you could hear it in your bones. the over-the-top song, the peaking subject matter, the soulful production and soulful songs were all there. but it was more than that. it was a personality on full display, and the album was the catalyst for that change. its okay for an artist to be a little more free with himself, because in the music business, you have to allow yourself to be vulnerable, and jay z is no exception. he is more comfortable on the mic now, and thats perfect because hes such a great orator.
